JavaPipe is a hosting service company mainly targeting java developers looking for tools and systems for application development and hosting. For many years, JavaPipe found customers through word-of-mouth and referrals from her existing customers. However, with emergence of many competitions in the area of their expertise, word-of-mouth and referrals were not simply catering to the full potential of JavaPipe.

In order to reach a large group of prospects and increase the potential of their online business, JavaPipe hired Storms'i in early 2006 to take upon the responsibility of optimizing their search engine ranking. Storms'i proven techniques and methodologies resulted in a 2 fold increase in JavaPipe's sales over the first 6 months.

Challenges and Solutions

A thorough review of JavaPipe's original site revealed problems that needed to be taken care of in order to increase their sales.

Site Design:

Although the original JavaPipe's site design was very much in sync with the current industry standards, minor improvements in terms of colors and coordination were needed to get it to the right level. In addition, site navigation schema needed some improvement so that the customer could reach what they were looking for as easily as possible. Our professional designers came up with the ultimate design to make the site not only more attractive to the customers but also more navigation-friendly.

Site Content:

The original content contained all the information needed for the customers to get educated about the services that JavaPipe offered. However, the language used did not really represent the prestige and character of the business. Our professional copy writers reworded much of the content so that the wording would not only deliver that message but also would sound more appealing to the customers.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO):

The original JavaPipe site did not have a high ranking on any of the known search engines (i.e. Google, Yahoo, ..., etc.). So far, the effort put in has been significantly fruitful. Today, JavaPipe is listed on the very first page of the following search engines using the following keywords:

• Google (Keywords: hosting java, private jvm hosting, java application hosting)
• Yahoo (Keywords: java hosting, hosting java, and java application hosting, private jvm hosting)
• MSN (Keywords: java hosting, hosting java, private jvm)
• AltaVista (Keywords: java hosting, hosting java, java application hosting, private jvm hosting)

It should be noted that this is an ongoing effort and better results is expected over a longer period of time.

Results

Results have been very impressive for JavaPipe. Traffic and exposure of the site has increased significantly over the past six months. This was due to Storms'i relentless and continuous effort in optimizing JavaPipe's ranking in major search engines (SEO).
